OxyShred by EHPlabs is the new thermogenic fat burner that everyone is talking about. As mentioned in my previous article here, in August 2012 the Therapeutic Goods Administration banned the sale, supply and use of DMAA in Australia. I hear a lot of excuses when asking friends or family to start exercising or eating healthy.

“I have a lot of birthday’s coming up, I’m going on holiday, I have a few weddings and parties to attend”.

I’ve heard them all. And all I think in my mind, is.. EXCUSES EXCUSES. That is exactly what they are.

Life is filled with birthday’s, outings, weddings, parties and other social events. Life is not going to stop just because you want to lose weight and get fit. You have to work around it and incorporate your health and fitness goals into your life. Make it work, fit it in during the week, compromise!

If your complaining that your overweight, but then you can’t commit to eating healthy because of your social events, then stop complaining, because it is your fault that you are that way.

If you’re not going to change your lifestyle, then your going to stay the same – overweight and unhappy. Simple as that.

It has been nearly 6 months since I purchased the Ashy Bines Clean Eating Diet Plan so I wanted to write another post on this diet plan.

Firstly, the Ashy Bines Clean Eating Diet Plan is an eBook which gets sent via email. It has guidelines about eating clean and some recipes. It also comes with a bonus eBook called “A day in the life of Ashy Bines” which outlines Ashy’s diet. I purchased the product for $49 (RRP $69).

The reason I purchased this eBook was because I was lost in my weight loss journey. I had previously lost around 8kgs when I was living in America, and then when I came back to Australia, I fell out of my healthy eating regime and my gym routine. I needed some guidance and motivation and I couldn’t do it on my own and I kept seeing Ashy Bines all over Facebook and transformations of girls that did the Ashy Bines Bikini Body Challenge. So I decided to purchase the eBook to see what the fuss was all about.

The Ashy Bines Clean Eating Diet Plan is different to the Ashy Bines Bikini Body Challenge. With the diet plan, you receive an eBook and entry into the forum and Facebook group. It doesn’t include the work out challenges.

So what do I think about the plan 6 months on?

The Ashy Bines Clean Eating Diet Plan helped me get motivated with my weight loss. You have access to the Ashy Bines Clean Eating Facebook group which has around 20,000 other girls who are in the same position as you. You can ask them questions, look for motivation and guidance, and share your stories with them. By all means, their advice may not always be that accurate as they girls speak from experience and from their own research, they aren’t professionals. They talk about real life experiences and you speak to girls who have been there, and done that. Girls that used the plan to lose weight which is real experience.

Even 6 months, I still use the Facebook group every day. I read the posts, I get advice and tips, I get new recipes from the group. This is the resource that I use most from the Ashy Bines Clean Eating Diet Plan. When I don’t feel like going to the gym, I get on the group and look for motivation, and it works!

The only downside is that you have to purchase the Ashy Bines Clean Eating Diet Plan to be in this group, which is why I created my own group when I started my fitness journey – Help For Fitness. If you haven’t already joined, click here to join. It is for free.

Anyway, I still really admire Ashy Bines and I try and eat as clean as possible. It doesn’t always happen everyday but I try my best. I also team clean eating with intermittent fasting. I will write another post on intermittent fasting later.

I have recently created a Facebook group called Help For Fitness. (Click on the link to join)

Since moving back to Australia I have let myself go with my healthy eating and exercising. By following a healthy eating plan and exercising, I previously lost around 8kgs on a plan that I created and followed.

I have created this group as many friends ask me about losing weight and often need help and support losing weight.

I personally like to research and have purchased eBooks such as the Jennifer Nicole Lee Fitness Model Program and Ashy Bines Healthy Eating Plan and from the combination of my purchases and research, I know what to do to lose weight and how to get results. It just get’s hard sometimes and I have lost my way. That is where YOU come in.

If you join this group, we can ALL HELP each other. Right now, myself and a friend is going to start a healthy eating plan on Monday, 25th June. It is easier to lose weight when someone else is going through the same thing with you!

They say it takes 21 days to make something a habit. So my first plan of attack is to get my eating habits on track. I am giving myself 21 days to get myself into the habit of eating clean, and then after that i will incorporate exercise and gym work into my routine. If you like, feel free to start exercising straight away or earlier than the 21 days.

This group is to share tips and information about how to lose weight, and to also give you MY plan on what I’m doing, so that you can also follow me along with this journey. I will be giving you meal ideas for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks so that you can stay on track too!

So you’ve decided that you want to lose weight? Want to start a new diet or exercise plan? Well here are my 5 top tips that you MUST do before and whilst you try to lose weight. If you start doing these tips, I assure you, it will help you to lose weight! Start off with these tips first and it will make losing weight much easier!

1. When you wake up, drink a glass of water.

Please explain..? My suggestion is to drink at least one glass of room temperature water first thing in the morning – before your breakfast or coffee.

Why? Dehydration is responsible for many people feeling tired and fatigue. Some people mistake dehydration for hunger, and can therefore, overeat. Drinking a glass of water in the morning kick starts your body to feel hydrated. Water is great for clearing our system, flushing out the toxins and increasing your metabolism.

 

2. Eat Breakfast – A big one.  

Please explain..? My suggestion is to eat a good hearty breakfast. Examples would include slow releasing carbohydrates such as oatmeal or whole grains. My favourite breakfast is a bowl of oatmeal, and I put a whole banana cut into pieces with ½ a cup of skim milk, and I put it into the microwave and the banana is mixed all together making the oatmeal sweet. Other breakfast ideas would be anything with eggs on whole wheat bread, low fat yoghurt, muesli and low sugar granola. If you must eat bacon, limit it to a few slices.

Why? This is essential to start off your day on the right foot. You need to fuel your body with the right nutrients. If you skip breakfast, you tend to be starving by the time it comes to lunch time and you will overeat or eat the wrong type of foods (such as fast food) because you are so hungry and just want something to eat straight away. Why should it be a big breakfast? You have all day to burn this off and it gives you more energy to start your day. Eating breakfast really helps you lose weight – set yourself up to succeed!

 

3. Small Meals – Regularly 

Please explain..? My suggestion is to eat five to six small meals per day. I would structure it as breakfast, then snack two or three hours after, then lunch, another snack about 2 hours after lunch, then dinner. If you’re still hungry after dinner, have a small snack.

Why? When you eat regularly throughout the day, your body knows that more food is on the way and it will not go into starvation mode to save and store the calories. It is more likely to burn the calories you consume than store them as fat. By eating regularly, you are giving yourself less opportunity to overeat, as you will be full from the previous meal you just ate. This really helps in losing weight as it lessens the chances that you’re going to eat binge eat.

 

4. Eat like a King for Breakfast, a Queen for Lunch and a Pauper for Dinner

 

Please explain..? My suggestion is to eat your largest meals for breakfast – for example, a bowl of oatmeal with skim milk and a banana; and a boiled egg. Ensure that you are full. Then for lunch, I would eat something that combines carbohydrates, protein and some vegetables – a fistful of each.  E.g. Mash potato, broccoli and salmon. Then for dinner I would make my meal much smaller – protein and vegetables / salad. E.g. Chicken breast with a salad.

Why? Eating your largest meals in the morning gives you all day to burn the calories off. Breakfast should be your largest meal, followed with lunch and then a small dinner. Trust me, this works in helping you lose weight. If you can get use to eat a very small dinner, you will lose weight for sure.

 

5. Eating healthy, fresh, whole foods 

Please explain..? As you can see, losing weight is all about eating healthy and at the right times. Healthy eating means staying away from fast foods, chips, lollies, soft drink, anything fried. You can still have these in moderation. You should aim to eat a mixture of vegetables, carbohydrates such as rice, potato, sweet potato, and protein such as fish, chicken, beef or any type of meat. Eating foods that have not been processed is key to losing weight.

Why? Eating healthy will help you lose weight. By taking care of what food you put into your body, you will essentially feel great, and your body will thank you for it. You can still have sweets and lollies, but in moderation. Eating healthy includes eating fresh food. If your food is coming out of a tin or a box – you are not eating healthy. Stick to fresh fruit and vegetables, whole cuts of meat and vegetables, and make your own mash potato using whole potatoes, not the instant kind.

In conclusion, you can see that the essential key to losing weight is WHAT YOU EAT. Losing weight starts in the kitchen, and from my top 5 tips to lose weight, you can really tell that this is true. You can really maintain or lose weight by watching what you eat. I know this is true for a fact, as I am living proof that my tips work. Try it out yourself and let me know how you go!

Jennifer Nicole Lee’s JNL Fusion back workout! This one is tough but great for toning your muscles, back and incorporating cardio as well!

This is a great workout to lose weight and to tone your legs and butt! Don’t be fooled, it is hard and tough but it really tones your legs and bum!

Jennifer Nicole Lee does some of the leg exercises with weights, and when i did this workout i felt really tired so i just did the exercise without the weights!

Want to start losing weight? Not sure where to start?

Here is a great light workout if you just want to stretch your muscles and start losing some weight.  Yoga is great for strengthening your muscles and is especially good if you have weak knees or any injuries. It is low impact but great for improving your muscle definition and toning your muscles.
