If your into fitness, you would know that the supplements by USP Labs – Jack3d, OxyElite Pro etc got banned last in August 2012. The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) banned the sale, supply and use of the chemical DMAA in Australia. DMAA was found in many pre-workout supplements to give users the feeling of extra energy or an adrenaline like high.
Jack3d by USP Labs was a pre-workout supplement that I used often and loved, which contained DMAA. So after it got banned, I didn’t know what would be the best pre-workout to replace it. That is where BUZZ by EHPlabs comes in.
There has been a lot of talk about BUZZ, the best pre-workout supplement by EHPlabs but I haven’t been able to find much information anywhere online except for the EHPlabs website. So i did a bit of digging and found out more information on it this new pre-workout supplement.
EHPlabs is a newly created company by Franklin Lucas and Dr James Newson. Franklin Lucas use to work for Optimum Nutrition (or so i’ve been told) and I love Optimum Nutrition products! Anyway, back to the point. EHPlabs supplements include BUZZ, OxyShred and CREA-8.
- Boosted energy
- Everlasting endurance
- Increased oxygen to muscles
- Maximum pump and vascularity
- Proprietary power and strength compound
- And best of all – zero carbs, zero sugar and zero crash
Here are the supplement facts:
BUZZ will be hitting Australian shores towards end of January 2013 and I am excited to say, that Help For Fitness will be stocking these products. Head over to Help For Fitness to purchase the product.
I hear a lot of excuses when asking friends or family to start exercising or eating healthy.
“I have a lot of birthday’s coming up, I’m going on holiday, I have a few weddings and parties to attend”.
I’ve heard them all. And all I think in my mind, is.. EXCUSES EXCUSES. That is exactly what they are.
Life is filled with birthday’s, outings, weddings, parties and other social events. Life is not going to stop just because you want to lose weight and get fit. You have to work around it and incorporate your health and fitness goals into your life. Make it work, fit it in during the week, compromise!
If your complaining that your overweight, but then you can’t commit to eating healthy because of your social events, then stop complaining, because it is your fault that you are that way.
If you’re not going to change your lifestyle, then your going to stay the same – overweight and unhappy. Simple as that.
It has been nearly 6 months since I purchased the Ashy Bines Clean Eating Diet Plan so I wanted to write another post on this diet plan.
Firstly, the Ashy Bines Clean Eating Diet Plan is an eBook which gets sent via email. It has guidelines about eating clean and some recipes. It also comes with a bonus eBook called “A day in the life of Ashy Bines” which outlines Ashy’s diet. I purchased the product for $49 (RRP $69).
The reason I purchased this eBook was because I was lost in my weight loss journey. I had previously lost around 8kgs when I was living in America, and then when I came back to Australia, I fell out of my healthy eating regime and my gym routine. I needed some guidance and motivation and I couldn’t do it on my own and I kept seeing Ashy Bines all over Facebook and transformations of girls that did the Ashy Bines Bikini Body Challenge. So I decided to purchase the eBook to see what the fuss was all about.
The Ashy Bines Clean Eating Diet Plan is different to the Ashy Bines Bikini Body Challenge. With the diet plan, you receive an eBook and entry into the forum and Facebook group. It doesn’t include the work out challenges.
If you want to see my initial review on the Ashy Bines Clean Eating Diet Plan, click here.
So what do I think about the plan 6 months on?
The Ashy Bines Clean Eating Diet Plan helped me get motivated with my weight loss. You have access to the Ashy Bines Clean Eating Facebook group which has around 20,000 other girls who are in the same position as you. You can ask them questions, look for motivation and guidance, and share your stories with them. By all means, their advice may not always be that accurate as they girls speak from experience and from their own research, they aren’t professionals. They talk about real life experiences and you speak to girls who have been there, and done that. Girls that used the plan to lose weight which is real experience.
Even 6 months, I still use the Facebook group every day. I read the posts, I get advice and tips, I get new recipes from the group. This is the resource that I use most from the Ashy Bines Clean Eating Diet Plan. When I don’t feel like going to the gym, I get on the group and look for motivation, and it works!
The only downside is that you have to purchase the Ashy Bines Clean Eating Diet Plan to be in this group, which is why I created my own group when I started my fitness journey – Help For Fitness. If you haven’t already joined, click here to join. It is for free.
Anyway, I still really admire Ashy Bines and I try and eat as clean as possible. It doesn’t always happen everyday but I try my best. I also team clean eating with intermittent fasting. I will write another post on intermittent fasting later.
If you have tried the Ashy Bines Clean Eating Diet Plan, I would love to hear from you. Comments are always welcomed.
It is 2013 and of course, it is many people’s new years resolution to lose weight. I rarely make new years resolutions but my goal is to focus on my health and fitness.
The reason that I created this group is to provide help and support to my family and friends on fitness and health. A lot of my friends and family ask me about what I eat, how to lose weight, and what type of exercises I do. I don’t know all the answers, but I try my hardest to research and to educate myself. The group was created so people with like minds can come together and share their thoughts, questions, share information and get motivated. We help each other and the group helps me so it’s a win-win situation.
I have seen many people that have fallen off the wagon or have failed to launch their journey to fitness and this saddens me. Being healthy is so important, it helps you live longer, it makes you feel better physically and mentally, being healthy gives you self confidence in yourself and makes you feel good in your own body. I know it may be hard, but if you don’t keep trying, then you will feel the way you are feeling forever.
The reason for this post is to highlight that only you can help yourself. If you’re not willing to put in the hard work to lose weight, to eat healthy and to exercise, then don’t expect anything to change. Take responsibility of your weight and your body, and do something about it. Remember, it’s not too late to start now.
If you don’t know where to start, click here to join my Help For Fitness group and start by asking some questions. Go through the old posts and you will find many fitness plans and healthy eating advice. You can also send me a message on Facebook (find me through my group) and I can help you.
Clean eating. What is it?
My view of clean eating is eating unprocessed, whole foods. It is food that doesn’t have too much additives or hasn’t had too many things done to it.
Here is my definition of clean eating:
- Protein: Choose whole cuts of meat which has not been processed. E.g. Buy fresh chicken and roast it yourself, instead of buying chicken nuggets and putting them in the oven. Roast your meat in the oven instead of frying it. Steam it with herbs instead of cooking it with butter in the pan. When i am choosing meat to eat, i usually buy fresh chicken, fish or steak. I buy it without any flavours on it and i add flavour myself. During the week i usually cook fish with cajun spices and italian herbs.
I also eat eggs for protein.
- Vegetables: I love my vegetables and they are essential in eating clean. Choose green leafy vegetables such as spinach which is high in protein. Brocolli, carrots, corn, cauliflour, green beans. I personally don’t think any vegetables are bad so eat as many vegetables as you like. To keep your vegetables “clean”, i would steam them or microwave them. I don’t often add much sauces to my vegetables, and I usually just add a bit of salt and pepper to flavour them.
- Fruits: I eat fruit about once a day. That could be in the form of a banana, apple, orange. I don’t limit myself to eating fruit but on average, i only eat about one piece a day. I believe fruit is “clean” and dont recommend you stay away from fruit, but just eat it in moderation. Fruit has natural sugars and if you feel like something sweet, try having strawberries or cherries.
- Carbohydrates: When possible, i always eat brown rice. When i am at home, i will eat brown rice. At restaurants, it may be a little harder. If i am eating bread, i would choose rye bread over any other type of bread. I rarely ever eat white bread. Sometimes i eat Ryvitas and Rye Crustkits. I just try and look for anything that is whole grain or rye. I rarely eat white! If i feel like i need carbohydrates, you can also get carbs from fruit and vegetables such as a banana, sweet potato or corn.
- Drinks: When possible, i try to drink water. If i feel like something else, i drink green tea, peppermint tea or coffee. On occasion I would drink soft drink but that is very rare. I also stay away from fruit juices. If i feel like having fruit, i like to eat the fruit whole as you get the fiber from the fruit.
I will write another post in regards to what I eat on a daily basis. More on clean eating later!
I recently purchased the Ashy Bines Clean Eating Diet Plan on special for $49 (RRP $69). I have decided to do an honest review on this product since there has been a lot of hate pages, and controversy in the media about this product and claims that is a rip off.
Please watch my review and let me know what you think!
I have recently created a Facebook group called Help For Fitness. (Click on the link to join)
Since moving back to Australia I have let myself go with my healthy eating and exercising. By following a healthy eating plan and exercising, I previously lost around 8kgs on a plan that I created and followed.
I have created this group as many friends ask me about losing weight and often need help and support losing weight.
I personally like to research and have purchased eBooks such as the Jennifer Nicole Lee Fitness Model Program and Ashy Bines Healthy Eating Plan and from the combination of my purchases and research, I know what to do to lose weight and how to get results. It just get’s hard sometimes and I have lost my way. That is where YOU come in.
If you join this group, we can ALL HELP each other. Right now, myself and a friend is going to start a healthy eating plan on Monday, 25th June. It is easier to lose weight when someone else is going through the same thing with you!
They say it takes 21 days to make something a habit. So my first plan of attack is to get my eating habits on track. I am giving myself 21 days to get myself into the habit of eating clean, and then after that i will incorporate exercise and gym work into my routine. If you like, feel free to start exercising straight away or earlier than the 21 days.
This group is to share tips and information about how to lose weight, and to also give you MY plan on what I’m doing, so that you can also follow me along with this journey. I will be giving you meal ideas for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks so that you can stay on track too!
Please add anyone into the group that you think may benefit from it! Click here to join the group!

The Jennifer Nicole Lee – Fitness Model Program was the first eBook that I have ever bought online and let me tell you, this was the best investment i made. I know it isn’t a lot of money to some people, but when you aren’t getting a physical book I can understand why people are hesitant to buy this product. I was at first too.
So i wanted to do another review on this eBook a year after to see whether this was a good purchase or not.
So after a year of purchasing this book, i am VERY happy with this product. I printed all of the exercises in the book and i still use it on a daily basis.
The Jennifer Nicole Lee – Fitness Model Program taught me many basic rules that I have been using ever since i purchased this product. First off, Jennifer Nicole Lee provided a guide of what body parts to exercise during each work out. I have taken her guide and made my own routine which is as follows:
Day 1: Shoulders, Triceps, Abs
Day 2: Legs and Abs – JNL Fusion Workout (Here is a link to the video)
Day 3: Chest, Biceps and Back
Day 4: Legs and Abs - JNL Fusion Workout
I try and exercise 4 times a week. Legs are my weakest body part and I don’t focus on them enough, so i have tried to incorporate a legs workout twice a week. Sometimes this doesn’t happen!
I use the Jennifer Nicole Lee – Fitness Model Program workouts that I have printed out to choose which exercises to do. This program shows what exercises to do for all body parts and i choose 3-4 exercises per body part and i do 4 sets of 15.
I think in JNL’s program she stated to do 3 sets of 12 reps and that is what I started off with, and now i have just increased my reps and sets. I have also slowly increased my weight (only by a little).
I am a pescatarian so i eat fairly good. A pescatarian is a vegetarian who eats seafood. So i eat fish, prawns, crab, lobster etc. After a night time workout, I usually have a protein shake. I usually eat eggs for breakfast, and incorporate a lot of vegetables into my meals. I try to eat fairly healthy all of the time, but I am obsessed with chocolate so I think i eat a piece of chocolate at least once a day.
Anyway, back to my review on the Jennifer Nicole Lee – Fitness Model Program. After a year from my purchase date, I still use this eBook every time I workout. I printed the book to make it easier for me to bring to the gym, and i leave it in my gym bag. If i don’t know what exercise to workout for my shoulders, i refer to my book. Or if im bored of doing the same workouts, i get a new exercise from my Jennifer Nicole Lee eBook.
Overall, I would rate this purchase a 9/10. I love this book and i would recommend it to my friends!

So you’ve decided that you want to lose weight? Want to start a new diet or exercise plan? Well here are my 5 top tips that you MUST do before and whilst you try to lose weight. If you start doing these tips, I assure you, it will help you to lose weight! Start off with these tips first and it will make losing weight much easier!
1. When you wake up, drink a glass of water.
Please explain..? My suggestion is to drink at least one glass of room temperature water first thing in the morning – before your breakfast or coffee.
Why? Dehydration is responsible for many people feeling tired and fatigue. Some people mistake dehydration for hunger, and can therefore, overeat. Drinking a glass of water in the morning kick starts your body to feel hydrated. Water is great for clearing our system, flushing out the toxins and increasing your metabolism.
Please explain..? My suggestion is to eat a good hearty breakfast. Examples would include slow releasing carbohydrates such as oatmeal or whole grains. My favourite breakfast is a bowl of oatmeal, and I put a whole banana cut into pieces with ½ a cup of skim milk, and I put it into the microwave and the banana is mixed all together making the oatmeal sweet. Other breakfast ideas would be anything with eggs on whole wheat bread, low fat yoghurt, muesli and low sugar granola. If you must eat bacon, limit it to a few slices.
Why? This is essential to start off your day on the right foot. You need to fuel your body with the right nutrients. If you skip breakfast, you tend to be starving by the time it comes to lunch time and you will overeat or eat the wrong type of foods (such as fast food) because you are so hungry and just want something to eat straight away. Why should it be a big breakfast? You have all day to burn this off and it gives you more energy to start your day. Eating breakfast really helps you lose weight – set yourself up to succeed!
3. Small Meals – Regularly
Please explain..? My suggestion is to eat five to six small meals per day. I would structure it as breakfast, then snack two or three hours after, then lunch, another snack about 2 hours after lunch, then dinner. If you’re still hungry after dinner, have a small snack.
Why? When you eat regularly throughout the day, your body knows that more food is on the way and it will not go into starvation mode to save and store the calories. It is more likely to burn the calories you consume than store them as fat. By eating regularly, you are giving yourself less opportunity to overeat, as you will be full from the previous meal you just ate. This really helps in losing weight as it lessens the chances that you’re going to eat binge eat.
4. Eat like a King for Breakfast, a Queen for Lunch and a Pauper for Dinner
Please explain..? My suggestion is to eat your largest meals for breakfast – for example, a bowl of oatmeal with skim milk and a banana; and a boiled egg. Ensure that you are full. Then for lunch, I would eat something that combines carbohydrates, protein and some vegetables – a fistful of each. E.g. Mash potato, broccoli and salmon. Then for dinner I would make my meal much smaller – protein and vegetables / salad. E.g. Chicken breast with a salad.
Why? Eating your largest meals in the morning gives you all day to burn the calories off. Breakfast should be your largest meal, followed with lunch and then a small dinner. Trust me, this works in helping you lose weight. If you can get use to eat a very small dinner, you will lose weight for sure.
Please explain..? As you can see, losing weight is all about eating healthy and at the right times. Healthy eating means staying away from fast foods, chips, lollies, soft drink, anything fried. You can still have these in moderation. You should aim to eat a mixture of vegetables, carbohydrates such as rice, potato, sweet potato, and protein such as fish, chicken, beef or any type of meat. Eating foods that have not been processed is key to losing weight.
Why? Eating healthy will help you lose weight. By taking care of what food you put into your body, you will essentially feel great, and your body will thank you for it. You can still have sweets and lollies, but in moderation. Eating healthy includes eating fresh food. If your food is coming out of a tin or a box – you are not eating healthy. Stick to fresh fruit and vegetables, whole cuts of meat and vegetables, and make your own mash potato using whole potatoes, not the instant kind.
In conclusion, you can see that the essential key to losing weight is WHAT YOU EAT. Losing weight starts in the kitchen, and from my top 5 tips to lose weight, you can really tell that this is true. You can really maintain or lose weight by watching what you eat. I know this is true for a fact, as I am living proof that my tips work. Try it out yourself and let me know how you go!
All the best.
